Chief Terrierist Isabella founded the Bolhaus in 2013, has a background in various breeds of large and small dogs and runs an educational Foundation in her “spare” time.

Bolhaus is the kennel associated with the Welsh Terriers owned and/or bred by us, based in the North West of England.

I am the Hon. Secretary of the Welsh Terrier Club of Great Britain and the Breed Education Co-ordinator for Welsh Terriers under the Kennel Club scheme.

If you would like to join a waiting list for future Bolhaus puppies, please get in contact, though our next litter will be Summer 2023. All puppies are tested for PLL. The Dam is hereditary Clear.

We breed and show in partnership with the Welsh Attitude kennel in France. If we do not have puppies available, we highly recommend getting in contact with them.

You can read about Welsh Terriers and a little about us in Country Life magazine!

The current Team include:

Jodean Commando at Bolhaus “Nigel”: is our youngest Bolhaus lad, replacing the retirees Olia and Chuck in the show ring from Summer 2022.

Outside of the ring, “Ninja Nige” enjoys a good game of wrestling, jumping up to the highest perches he can reach and generally getting into as much mischief as possible.

Bolhaus Royal Riot “Bonnie”: Up and coming daughter of Olia’s 2022 litter, Bonnie is Nigel’s half sister and will start her show career in Winter 2022.

Bonnie is the House Baby, and learning the ropes from Nigel… She enjoys exploring and is a big fan of cuddles.

Bolhaus Sedbergh Scholar “Flynn”: is handled by Isabella at shows on behalf of his owner. He has consistently placed first in his classes and won Best Junior in Show at a recent Club show, as well as Best of Breed at Lichfield Premier Show in Early 2022. Flynn is Olia’s son by CH Eskwyre Wyart Earp, and the brother of his housemate Estée.

Outside of the ring, Flynn enjoys car rides, fireside naps and runs on the beach. He is the only Bolhaus dog who has mastered off-lead recall!

Bolhaus Spirit of Sedbergh “Estee”: Litter sister to Flynn, Estee kicked off her showing career by winning Best Puppy at East of England Championship Show 2021. She continued to impress as a young pup and left to live with her brother where she continues to command a strong presence.

Outside of the ring, Estee enjoys all things athletic, as well as cosying up to any children who come her way.

Retirees:

Tough Cookie at Bolhaus “Chuck”: multiple Best of Breed winner, now enjoying retired life and occasionally coming into the ring for Veteran classes at Championship Shows, where he has consistently won Best Veteran in Breed. Crufts 2022 was his final show.

Outside of the ring Chuck enjoys the finer things in life, including Victoria Sponge cake, shopping and bubble baths.

Welsh Attitude Oh By Myself at Bolhaus “Olia”: began a promising show career in 2019 with puppy breed wins and Group placings. She then won multiple Best of Breed awards in the Sporting Terrier circuit, having taken some time out to have her first litter in 2020. She retired after Crufts 2022 to focus on being the excellent mother she is!

Outside of the ring Olia enjoys hunting for birds and mice in the gardens and looking after the younger dogs in the house.
